Carol Kennedy (Hightower)

Jerry Wayne Bumbard, 56, passed away Friday, March 2, 2007, in Abilene.

He was born on Sept. 5, 1950 in Abilene, Tx to Ruby (Collins) and W. O. Bumbard. Jerry graduated from AHS in 1970. He sold cars for over thirty years. At the time of his death, Jerry was employed by Lawrence Hall Lincoln Dealership.

He was preceded in death by his parents,Lawrence & Ruby Hill, a sister, Linda Snow, and a brother Kenneth Hill.

He is survived by wife Linda Bumbard, of Hobe Sound, Fl., a daughter Nicole, of Abilene, his step-children, Christina Mesa of Chicago, Johnny & Matthew Mesa, both of Los Gatos, Ca. and Scott Ebeling of Abilene; his sisters, Glenda Snyder of San Angelo and Emma Hicks of Hawley; his grandchildren, Aaron Alvarado of Amarillo, Zachary Gonzalez and Hayleigh Bumbard both of Abilene.

A memorial service will be 11:00a.m. Monday, March 5, 2007 at Elliott-Hamil Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, directed and led by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home. His body will be cremated.

missed Jerry's passing - Patton is correct, Jerry in the 8th maybe early 9th gr.,  coming bk from Freddie Newman's huge house one night, he had all of us cracking up--guy, must of  inherited his great Humor...he was something (and, Newman too) ... was a great end under coach Don Short and the Bronco team
