Ole' friend you are playing your drums now play the music you loved playing it so I can still hear you down here. So long ole' friend see you on the other side
I had known Rip since Junior High. We used to trade albums and share music. I think we never got the last set back to each other. We enjoyed classes together all thru AHS. He was quiet, but funny and a great guy. He will be missed.
Rip's dad and my dad were policemen together. We have been friends for a long time. We had a cruise signup sheet at our 40th reunion. Lots of interest but Rip and I were the only class members to make the cruise. His son and my wife and us and we had a blast. We have taken other cruises and gambling trips with other friends. He played drums for famous people and he played drums for not so famous folks at the west texas fair. He would not get in any water deeper than his ankles. I will miss you my friend. Stay out of the water.

Rip was one of those quiet friends. Any time he was around, he was always happy-go-lucky and positive. I will miss him.Leroy Perkins
