A funny Buddy Holly look alike kind of guy always joking around. Looks like he had a large family and will be missed.

When we were freshmen at Texas Tech, Daryl asked me to get him a date for the homecoming football game. I didn't give it much thought - just gave a shout-out to the girls on my floor in the dorm. One person responded. She turned out to be a horrible date. Or, as Daryl put it, he "would have rather gone out with the mum!" I still regret causing him any pain because Daryl was one of the good guys.

Was Daryl's smile, that I remember, from Franklin Jr's 7th grade, Mrs Helton math class.

Daryl and I became friends at Franklin Junior High. He was a true friend with whom I lost contact years ago. As others have said, he truly was one of the "good guys " and I wish his wife and family the very best. God bless.
