David A. Medina, Sr. Abilene, TX David A. Medina, Sr. 64, passed away June 19, 2014. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday at St. Vincent Catholic Church with Father Terry Brenon officiating. Burial will follow at Abilene Municipal Cemetery, directed by Abilene Funeral Home. A praying of the Rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. followed by a Wake service at 7:00 p.m. Monday at Abilene Funeral Home, 3349 N. 12th St.
Mr. Medina was born July 29, 1949, in Lampasas, Texas to Simon and Martha Medina. He was a member of Knights of Columbus since 1981.
Survivors include his wife, Gabriela Medina; three sons, David Medina Jr., Victor Gabriel Medina and Samuel Medina; daughter, Sonia Medina; two brothers, Henry Medina and Manuel Medina and 8 grandchildren.
Mr. Medina was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jimmy Medina and Jessie Medina and three sisters, Dolores Hernandez, Olga Silva and Mickey Medina.
