Although this comment comes late..... I wanted to remember our classmate Jerry.

.... As I don't always look at this site anymore but I am signed up for email notifications so every once in a while I come here for reminiscing...As I was re reading comments on this site, I ran across comments from Jerry saying I probably didn't remember him...I answered that yes, I did remember him from elementary, Jr High, and AHS but probably never said a word to him back then as I was very shy...we exchanged a few messages after that and I enjoyed getting to know him better. Sadly I had forgotten that he passed away, maybe I missed the notification, so read his obituary just today and learned that he had moved back to Abilene years ago before his death. I wish I had visited with him more when I had the chance, knowing now that we had Merkel Texas in common, we would have had more to talk about. He was born in Merkel on Christmas Day,  and his memorial service was also in Merkel, I am sorry that I did not attend.  I do remember Jerry as a very intelligent student and a really nice guy. I wish I had taken the time to know him even better, but glad that we did connect through this site. RIP Jerry.
